Our Seasonal Skincare Advice
Waking up with healthy skin and a clear complexion is always a confidence boost. Our seasonal skincare advice will give you a number of tips and tricks to keep your skin looking its best as the weather changes.
Whilst the information below will help you to maintain beautiful skin, sometimes further intervention is necessary to keep you looking and feeling your best. This is where Doctor Daniel Hunt can help you – by supplementing your skincare with fillers, Botox®, Tixel®, or a combination of these treatments.
If you opt for any of these safe, effective and reliable procedures, we would still advise following these easy seasonal skincare tips!
SPF
You should wear SPF every single day! Do not reserve this for just particularly sunny weather, or when you know you are going to be outside for long periods of time.
Whilst on these days you might need a higher SPF factor, it may also be beneficial to reapply more frequently. Remember, SPF should be part of your daily skincare routine.
We suggest using products which already contain SPF, as many moisturisers and foundations do. Otherwise, it’s wise to keep specific sun protection products out in the bathroom, as this will ensure they are easily accessible and you will not forget to apply them!
Moisturiser
As the temperature increases you will need a lighter moisturiser. In the warmer months the amount of oil that our skin produces is likely to increase, plus your skin will no longer need the added protection that a heavier option provides. This is because we will have said goodbye to the freezing winter winds, which dry our skin out.
Clean Out Your Makeup Bag For Seasonal Skincare
Finally, we would like to stress the importance of giving your makeup bag a spring clean. This is something that is often overlooked but never should be. The majority of products contained within are for use on our face, so it’s clear to see how this could be problematic for our skin.
Here are some of the most helpful things you can do:
- Empty your makeup bag and check all use-by dates, throw out anything that has expired.
- Turn the bag inside out, allowing you to properly clean the inside.
- Thoroughly clean the lining – a dry toothbrush is ideal for cleaning all the nooks and crannies, follow this with a makeup remover to get rid of any smudges and stains. Then, use an antibacterial spray to get rid of germs (don’t use bleach as this may damage the fabric).
- Leave it to dry thoroughly and give the outside a wipe over with the antibacterial spray.
- Finished! Just make sure to do this regularly.

Go One Step Further Than Seasonal Skincare
The above tips and tricks will help your skin to look its best as the warmer weather arrives. However, the natural ageing process and seasonal changes bring negative effects, which are impossible to avoid.
At Imperial Aesthetics, we can supplement your seasonal skincare routine with fillers, Botox® or Tixel®. You can learn more about these treatments on our website.
