Tear Trough
Diminish dark circles and plump your under-eye area with Imperial Aesthetics’ non-invasive Tear Trough Filler Treatment.
Deep dark circles and shadows around the delicate under-eye area can often make us look tired, worn and run down, even when perfectly rested and well hydrated.
Book AppointmentTear troughs are located in the space between your upper cheek and lower eyelid, and over time, collagen and elastin begin to break down, which causes hollowing under the eye. Although makeup and concealers can help brighten this area, they can’t help hide the volume loss that creates shadows that can darken and deepen as we age.
Suitable for both men and women, our tear trough filler treatment can help by softening the look of dark circles and plumping and restoring volume to the concave area under the eye for a naturally refreshed, brighter look.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Are tear trough fillers painful?
No, although you may feel mild discomfort for a few seconds while the treatment takes place. We prefer to administer the filler using a cannula, which offers minimal pain and reduces the risk of bruising.
-
How long does the treatment take?
Our quick and simple treatment takes 15 minutes to complete. We recommend allowing up to 30 minutes, so that we can discuss your personalised treatment plan.
-
Is there anything I should avoid before my treatment?
We recommend that you don’t take any ibuprofen or aspirin ahead of your appointment, as sometimes this can increase the risk of bruising.
-
How is the tear trough filler treatment administered?
We administer the treatment using a cannula, which has a blunt tip that delivers the dermal filler precisely to the treatment area. We prefer this method over needles as it is a safer option for the delicate eye area, reducing the risk of bruising and swelling. We are happy to offer both techniques and can discuss this in detail during your consultation with Dr Hunt.
-
Is there any downtime for this treatment?
The good news is that there is no downtime when you get tear trough fillers. As soon as the treatment is complete, you can go back to your normal activities.
-
How long do tear trough fillers last?
Although results vary from person to person, most of our clients find that their tear trough fillers can last between eight and twelve months.
-
How soon will I see results?
You should begin to notice results immediately after your treatment.
